UNIVERSAL JOINTS |

The Cardan shaft consists of two link forks that are combined with a universal joint.
Choosing the correct type of an universal joint is of a great importance. The choice is always based on the usage target, not only on the correct dimensions. Some targets need specially reinforced or manufactured universal joints.

If the universal joint of a Cardan shaft is replaced, the shaft must be re-balanced dynamically. This does not apply to shafts that rotate slower than 500 rounds per minute. |
