6. BALANCING |
 After the welding and the straightening the shaft needs to be balanced dynamically. The imbalances of the shaft are corrected by attaching extra weigths to it. The weigths are welded to the both ends of the pipe.
A Cardan shaft needs to be straightened after all service and repair procedures.

The balancing of a Cardan shaft is one of the core procedures of manufacturing a functional Cardan shaft. Usually Cardan shafts with a rotation rate less than 500 rounds per minute do not need to be balanced. However, in all other situations the balancing is required.
